Patients are referred to a specialist oral surgeon or periodontist for the surgical implant placement. This is done in the surgery using local anaesthetic.
The restorative phase is done by Dr. Kushner after a period of 6 to 10 weeks. In certain cases the implant can be restored immediately.
An implant can be used to replace a missing tooth with an implant retained crown.
Cemented Crown:

Screw-retained Crown:

Two or more implants are used to support a bridge (fixed partial denture).
Fixed Partial Denture (Bridge):

Implant-Supported Prosthesis
• The prosthesis is removable only by the dentist.
• Interdigitates with the implant’s octagon or hexagon for antirotational stability.
• Prosthetic design should reflect cosmetic and hygiene considerations.
• Provides restorative ease and flexibility with Full-Contour Straight or Angled and “Cast-To” Gold Abutment options.
Note: Available for 3.8mmD and 4.8mmD platforms

Screw-Retained Fixed Partial Denture (Bridge):
Implant therapy is used to support full dentures.

Screw-Retained Denture:
• This prosthesis is recommended primarily for the lower jaw.
• The prosthesis is removable only by the dentist.
• The secure fit offers the psychological advantage of a fixed prosthesis.
• Five to six implants are necessary.

Bar Overdenture
• This prosthesis is recommended for the upper and lower jars.
• The overdenture is removable by the patient to facilitate hygiene.
• Slight prosthetic movement, but is stable and feels natural to the patient.
• Four to six implants are necessary.
Note: Available for 4.8mmD platform only

Ball Bar Overdenture
• This prosthesis is recommended primarily for the lower jar.
• The overdenture is removable by the patient to facilitate hygiene.
• Slight prosthetic movement, but is stable and feels natural to the patient.
• Four implants are preferred.
Note: Available for 4.8mmD platform only
Once a patient has his teeth extracted, the jaw bone tends to resorb.
(bone resorbtion after extraction)
Placement of dental implants can stop or slow down bone resorbtion.
